World Seniors Darts Seniors World Championship Feb 19-22 BBC iPlayer

World Senior Darts (WSD) is going from strength to strength in 2025. Formally known as the World Senior Darts Tour, the string of events is now open to those over 45!

It seems age doesn't matter with the PDC Youth tour designed for players 23 and under. Yep, you are considered a Youth in the PDC up to 24. The World Seniors has now opened their qualifiers to those 45 or older. This used to be 50 years or older, but you are now a senior if you are 45 or older, according to the WDS. I shudder to think what they might call the over-60s who still play at this high level!

Qualifying places for the WSD World Champions have now finished, and the three lucky winners (Graham Usher, Richie Burnett and Mike Huntley) will take to the Circus Tavern Stage alongside past World Champions and players who were playing in the PDC Pro-Tour Events not long ago. Notable players include Steve Beaton, Mervyn King, Vincent van der Voort, and Simon Whitlock.

The WSD World Championships will be played at the Circus Tavern, Purfleet, over four days, February 19-22, the former home of the PDC World Darts Championships.

Martin Adams, Trina Gulliver MBE, Simion Whitlock, Vincent van der Voort, Steve Beaton, Mervyn King, John Part, and ITV dart pundit Chris Mason are just some of the icons of the sport who will be taking part in winning the first prize of £50,000.
